Back in 2013 my good friend, Bobby Kane, and I were searching for a place to go to connect with more designers. Being that we worked in a suburban area the opportunity attend design meetups and other social events were rare. The next best thing was to take it online and we decided to start a slack channel to connect with like-minded designers. Designer talk was born.

We’re a group of designers continuing the conversation past happy hour. Designer Talk is a place to collaborate, discuss new products, find work, or get feedback on what you’re working on.

It’s also a place to find your inner emoji and love of gifbot.

In addition to cobranding the project I had the pleasure of creating the logo. With it I went for a simple literal mark that would work well at small scale and be easily identifiable since users would see it mostly interact with it in the slack app.
